This “Haven” is situated in West Cork, Ireland, sitting high up on Knocknamadree, a hill overlooking Dunmanus Bay. It has a majestic panoramic view of the coast, encompassing hills and green fields, a place where sheep and cattle graze, giving you the quintessential feeling of rural Ireland. A “standing stone” in front of the house acts as a reminder of a Celtic past. This is an ideal location for groups or individuals to escape for peace and reflection or just to enjoy the beautiful countryside.

If you enjoy walking, and being at one with nature, there are beaches, great walks and cycle routes nearby. Overwhelming views of the Mizen Peninsula can be gained by just a short walk to the top of Knocknamadree, situated to the rear of the house.

The relaxing views from the main family bedroom, the living room and downstairs space (opening onto the patio), are like looking at a stage, with scenes of continuously changing light and shapes. It is not unusual to witness several seasons in one day, with sunshine, rainbows, rain or wind; your moods and views, will all change like acts in a play. It is an ideal spot for relaxation, finding yourself, or just to read a book or sit and paint.

The most outstanding qualities that people find here are peacefulness and beauty. It is not uncommon to see no-one all day long. Neighbours are only a short distance away, out of view, but are there when needed.
